The International Osteopathy Examining Board written examinations are administered three times yearly in February, July, and December across the world (except Canada) including USA, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands, Greece, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Iran, Pakistan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Chili, Peru, Jamaica, Barbados, South Africa, & Tanzania. Applicants wishing to practice in Canada must apply directly to the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board (CMOEB).
The exam venue is determined by the IOEB. Candidates are assigned to testing centres on a first-come, first-served basis. If space is full, candidates may be offered an alternate date based upon availability.
Examinations include Part I (basic science), Part II (clinical science) , and Part III (clinical skills).

These exams are designed to evaluate your competence for practicing the European style of osteopathy. Exams are administered at two levels of difficulty. The standard exams are administered to applicants with a diploma in manual osteopathy such as DO(MP) (lecture hours of up to 2500). The advanced exams are administered to applicants who hold a degree in osteopathy such as a bachelor of science in osteopathy, a master of science in osteopathy or a doctor of osteopathy (lecture hours of up to 5000).
The International Osteopathy Examining Board (IOEB) offers examination for graduates of European style osteopathy schools, colleges & universities. The IOEB determines test sites based upon applicant distribution and administrative considerations. Applicants wishing to practice in Canada should directly apply to the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board. IOEB accepts applicants from every country of the world (except Canada) including USA, China, South Korea, Iran, Jordan, Nigeria, Jamaica, Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, Barbados, Bahamas, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Argentina, England, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, & France.
Transcripts of an examinee’s most recent passing scores are released by the International Osteopathy Examining Board only upon written authorization. The IOEB recommends that examinees keep their original score reporting letters to maintain the history of their scores. There is no charge for the first transcript request processed by the IOEB. Subsequent transcript requests are $145 (Canadian) each. Please allow two weeks for processing of a transcript request.
Graduates from accredited manual osteopathy schools, colleges& universities are required to complete all three exams.
Exams may only be taken after successful completion of a manual osteopathy program at accredited osteopathy schools, colleges or universities.
