Candidates are assigned to testing dates on a first-come, first-served basis. If space is full, candidates may be offered an alternate date upon availability. The International Osteopathy Examining Board cannot accept payment of any kind over the phone or by email. All correspondence will be sent by email. You must add exams@osteopathyboard.org to your contact list to ensure emails are not flagged as spam. Confirmation will be sent by the IOEB within one week of receipt of application or correspondence. If you do not receive this confirmation within one week, please e-mail us. An application is considered deficient until all items (application, fees, photo and transcript requirement) have been received.
The following osteopathy educational facilities are accredited. Students who have graduated from any of the osteopathy schools below may apply to write IOEB board exams.

Successful passing of the board exams is one requirement of receiving a certificate of registration from International Osteopathic Association (IOA). IOA members may practice in most jurisdictions including USA, England, Iran, Brazil, India, China, Venezuela, Taiwan, Barbados, Turkey, Costa Rica, Peru, Latvia, Russia, Philippines, Bahamas, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Chili, Columbia, Argentina, Egypt, Nigeria, Japan, South Korea, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jamaica, St Martin, Ukraine, and many other Asian, African, European & Latin American countries. To receive information on how to obtain a certificate of registration please visit International Osteopathic association website at:www.internationalosteopathicassociation.org. To be able to practice manual osteopathy in Canada applicants must pass the board exams administered by the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board (www.cmoeb.org).
Successful passing of the board exams confers a diplomate status on an applicant. Applicants may use the credential DIOEB (Diplomate of Canadian International Osteopathy Examining Board) after their names to indicate their status as a diplomate of the Board.

The board exam results are emailed within one month of the exams date.
Candidates who fail to achieve a passing score will be required to re-take and pass the entire examination. Unsuccessful candidates are urged to obtain remedial training. Candidates with an unsuccessful status must reapply for an exam, as they will not be automatically rescheduled.
